Dubai: Pakistan Consul General honours ELPS A-level graduates
School operates under Pakistan Educational and Cultural Board
DUBAI: The English Language Private School (ELPS) in Dubai marked a significant occasion yesterday as it held the A-Level graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025.
The event was graced by the Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, who attended as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, the Consul General congratulated students on their academic achievements and highlighted the importance of knowledge in Islam.
He reminded the audience that the first divine command to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was to "read", reinforcing that education is both a right and a sacred duty.
He also encouraged the graduates to remain lifelong learners, driven by integrity, compassion, and kindness.
Who else attended?
Several prominent personalities attended the ceremony, adding further prestige to the event. These included Rashid Saif Al Ghurair and Muhammad Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair from the Al Ghurair Group, Muhammad Shabbir Merchant, Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council in Dubai, and Hassan Ibrahim Hokal and Muhammad Rashid Ashraf, Chairman and Co-Chairman of the ELPS Board of Governors respectively.
The event opened with a Quran recitation and the UAE national anthem.
Certificates were presented to the graduates by the Consul General, who also commended ELPS for fostering both academic success and character development.
ELPS vision
In his welcome address, Principal Muhammad Atif congratulated the graduates and noted, “By completing your A-Levels, you have joined the top 10% of the world’s educated individuals.”
The school operates under the Pakistan Educational and Cultural Board and is licensed by Dubai’s Community Development Authority. As a non-profit institution, ELPS reinvests all income into student development. Its mission is to offer modern, holistic education that empowers students to contribute positively to society.
The ceremony concluded with celebrations among teachers, parents, and students as graduates received their certificates and well-wishes for a promising future.
